A compact, slow-growing, upright tree with a rounded crown that eventually reaches 2 meters in height and width. The leaves, which have seven lobes, open pink in the spring, turn lime green to yellow with a delicate red edge in the summer, and transition to golden yellow with orange and red hues in the fall. Small, inconspicuous flowers appear in the spring, followed by red, winged fruit that sits above the foliage in the autumn.
