Cornus canadensis is a ground-covering outdoor plant that thrives in moist soil. It grows low to the ground and forms dense mats of fresh green foliage, making it ideal as underplanting in a shady garden. In spring, it blooms with striking white flowers, followed by red berries in late summer. The plant is completely hardy and can tolerate severe frost.
