TheCotinus coggyria Royal PurpleThe smoke tree, also known as the smoke bush, is one of the most impressive ornamental shrubs for gardens, patios, and balconies. Its striking, purplish-red foliage makes it a special highlight, adding structure and color in every season. It displays a particularly spectacular color change in autumn, when the leaves transform into warm shades of red, orange, and yellow.

In summer, airy, yellow-green flower panicles appear, creating the typical “wig” effect and giving the shrub a unique lightness. These delicate clouds of blossoms add striking accents and perfectly complement the dark foliage.

Cotinus Royal Purple is ideal for flower beds, but also perfectly suited for larger pots on balconies or patios. It combines beautifully with green or golden-leaved plants and looks aesthetically pleasing and modern both as a solitary specimen and in group plantings.

Thanks to its robustness and low maintenance requirements, this ornamental shrub is also suitable for novice gardeners. Reaching a final height of up to 3 meters, it develops into an impressive structural element in the garden over time.
