Elaeagnus umbellata Le VasterivalAutumn olive

A deciduous bushy shrub reaching up to around 5m tall and wide. Its leaves are narrowly oval with wavy edges, silvery when young before maturing to green but staying silvery beneath. Fragrant creamy-yellow flowers are borne in small clusters from late spring until early summer are then followed by silvery edible fruit that ripen to red.

Give it a position in full sun and a well-drained soil and allow it plenty of space to develop.
