• Plant crowns in well-drained soil in early spring
• Space crowns 12-18″ apart in trenches 6-8″ deep
• Water regularly, especially during establishment

• Do not harvest the first year; light harvest in year two; full harvest in year three
• Cut back ferns in late fall after they yellow
• Perennial and cold hardy to Zone 3
