Nepeta racemosa

Nepeta racemosa, commonly known as catmint, is a compact, aromatic perennial, perfect for the front of borders, edging, informal garden schemes, or softening hard landscaping. This low-growing variety forms neat mounds of grey-green foliage, which release a pleasant fragrance when brushed, topped from late spring to early autumn with dense spikes of soft lavender-blue flowers. Loved by bees and butterflies, Nepeta racemosa brings gentle movement and a long season of interest to wildlife-friendly gardens.

Nepeta racemosa is drought-tolerant once established and excellent for softening path edges or underplanting roses. Low-maintenance and long-flowering, it brings colour and scent to any garden setting. A light trim after the first flush encourages repeat flowering.
